Ah, Mikado…Those long, thin, chocolate covered biscuits. Those sinful treats that are actually only 11 calories per stick. You’ve had them, I know you have.
Well, Mikado are running the ‘Stick Out Your Personality’ campaign, where they’re giving away loads of free boxes of Mikado, branded selfie sticks and even smartphones! All you have to do to enter is post a picture of yourself with Mikado where you show off your personality on social media using the hashtag #MikadoBy
I have received product from Mikado for this post. It is an entry to the Foodies100 Stick out your personality challenge sponsored by Mikado. Mikado are unique, long & ultra-thin crunchy biscuit sticks coated with smooth milk chocolate, with one end left bare so that you don’t get sticky fingers when eating. Mikado comes in four delicious flavours: Milk, White, Daim and Choco King, and stocked in all major supermarkets at an RRP of £1.39. To find out more, visit Mikado on Facebook.
If anyone has been to a kids party at my house, they’ve probably been given strawberries or other fruit speared on these chocolate sticks. My kids love them and they’re a fantastic mess-free treat for the little ones. Crunchy, chocolaty and with that handy biscuit handle at the bottom. Mikado sent me a giant branded box filled with milk chocolate biscuit sticks, but they also come in loads of other flavours incuding white chocolate and Daim.
As part of the challenge they also sent me a selfie stick and a picture frame. Sooooooo…. here’s how I Stick Out My Personality with Mikado: #MikadoBy – I eat kale with Mikado chopsticks!
My instant veggie dessert with a nod to the comic Gilbert and Sullivan opera, The Mikado (just call me Yum Yum). Did I eat the kale before devouring the Mikado chopsticks? You betcha. I’m all about balance, people (and I like raw kale!).
Can you find the Mikado box on my bookshelf? It’s hidden there for you to find. Bonus points if you can spot a Margaret Atwood or Graham Greene. I always feel that you can tell a lot about a person from their bookshelf, so between the kale and the books, this is definitely my personality sticking out. If you spot any Bill Bryson, don’t judge. They’re my husband’s. And if you see any trash, they’re NOT MINE. I swear. No, really.
Mikado likes to celebrate the traits of different characters and personalities through how people eat their biscuits. They love to see how we all enjoy our sticks – nibble them quickly? Lick off the chocolate? Spear fruit on them? Eat salad? Tell Mikado with #MikadoBy on social media, and do take a look – there are some great entries so far! Let your imagination and your stick biscuits run wild.
Disclosure: I was sent products and paid for this post. All opinions are my own. And I ate the kale.
